2017 On 27 November, under the PPS Project “Advancing the role of CSOs, young women and men future leaders in decision making and public life” PPS organised the Civil Society Forum 2017 in Prishtinë/Priština. The closing event of the Civil Society Portfolio of PPS gathered 70 participants from the civil society sector, donors and other relevant actors in Kosovo. During the forum, the OSCE “Digital Platform for Public Participation” was analysed in terms of results, utilisation and challenges throughout 2017. The citizen platform ndreqe.com developed by NGO Democracy Plus was presented and cooperation and integration with DPPP was presented at the event. The Forum has also launched the Kosovo Funding Portal developed by PPS. Moreover the Forum gave an opportunity to the developers of the “My Day – Dita ime” mobile application for people with disabilities to present their project to the audience. The application won the European Youth Award(EYA) in the Active Citizenship category. The EYA 2016 was supported by the Mission in collaboration with other partner organisations. The audience was also informed on the plans of the Section for 2018 for the Portfolio. The Forum constitutes an integral part of the CSO portfolio whereby opinions collected from the public provide a basis for further Mission engagement with the CSOs.
